China’s 600 km / h high-speed maglev transportation system, developed by CRRC and with completely independent intellectual property rights, has been successfully offline in Qingdao. It is the world’s first high-speed maglev transportation system with a design speed of 600 km / h. The steel for turnout beam is provided by Xianggang.

The successful offline of the high-speed maglev transportation system marks that China has mastered the complete set of high-speed maglev technology and engineering capacity, which can fill the speed gap between high-speed rail and air transportation. “High stiffness”, “good toughness” and “fatigue resistance” are the key characteristics of turnout beam steel in Xianggang. After testing, the turnout beam steel produced by Xianggang can accept millions of cycle fatigue tests without brittle fracture, which well meets the service requirements of 600 km / h maglev track turnout.

The turnout is a single opening flexible right-hand turnout, with a total length of nearly 80m, a width of nearly 3M, a switch distance of nearly 4m, and a straight passing speed of 600km / h. It is the highest passing speed high-speed maglev turnout in the world. Xianggang cooperated with China Railway Baoqiao to design eight span continuous flexible turnout with large stiffness. In the manufacturing process, precision assembly welding and overall machining technology were adopted to effectively ensure the accuracy, stability and stiffness of steel for turnout beam.
